ABOUT
Bára is passionate about creating accessible spaces. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature and Communications from University of British Columbia and has worked on accessibility projects nationally and internationally. Her expertise includes digital accessibility, event accessibility, employment accessibility, anti-oppressive organizing, human rights reporting, disability advocacy, public speaking and facilitation.
She previously was Communications Officer at Disabled Women’s Network, coordinating the accessibility of digital publications and events. She is the Managing Editor of Theta Wave Magazine, a digital multimedia literary arts publication, and has hosted several readings and events. She has worked as Accessibility Consultant for several artist projects, publications and events.
Accessibility consultations may be 1 hour long, several sessions, or a group presentation or workshop on any topic relating to accessibility.
